Make sure you have a clean and dust free surface. Remove all residues or saw dust from distressing before you start applying the top coat to your DIY shabby chic furniture, country style home décor pieces or vintage decorations

Apply the wax with a waxing brush or lint-free cloth. Start with a little finishing wax and work it into the chalky finish paint. Only apply a thin coat to prevent buildup

The wax layer seals the surface and protects the chalk paint from wear and tear. For dresser, dining table and chairs we recommend to refresh the wax coat every 6-12 month
